Daniel H. Neilson – Bard College at Simon’s Rock
GameStop and the Future of Platform Finance
Daniel H. Neilson studies the financial relationships and institutions of contemporary capitalism. He is the author of *Minsky* (Polity, 2019), which builds a theory of financial capitalism based on the work of monetary theorist Hyman Minsky. Neilson’s previous research has focused on China’s financial markets, on the structure of the global monetary system, and on the evolution of the Federal Reserve. Dr. Neilson is on the faculty of Bard College at Simon’s Rock, where he teaches in the Division of Social Studies.

COVID-19 and Morality
Chitra Gotluru is a 4th-year medical student at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She serves as president of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Interest Group. She is currently applying to OB/GYN residencies where she can continue her medical training and interest in women’s health care. Chitra was raised in South Florida and received her B.S. in biology and chemistry at Nova Southeastern University.

Neha Mittal – University of North Carolina Charlotte
Wastewater and COVID-19
My name is Neha Mittal, and I have completed my Ph.D. in the year of 2020 in Biological Sciences from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Presently, I am working as a Post-Doctoral Research Scholar, at the Department of Bioinformatics and Genomics at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My present research focuses on the campus surveillance using wastewater to monitor and potentially stop an outbreak of COID-19 in the campus community. Overall, I have more than 7 years of wet lab research experience in the field of genomics and molecular biology and have clear understanding and knowledge about the computational analysis of various types of biological datasets.
I am also working as an Adjunct Faculty at the Department of Biological Sciences, UNC Charlotte from the past 2 years and am involved in teaching oral and written communication improving courses.

Currently, Allison Weidhaas, Ph.D., combines two fun and rewarding careers, public relations and higher education. After 10 years assisting a variety of companies with their public relations needs and teaching part-time, she returned to school to pursue her Ph.D. at the University of South Florida.

Caroline Brackette – Mercer University
Mental Health and College Satisfaction
Dr. Caroline Brackette is a licensed professional counselor and has clinical experience working with a diverse population of clients across the mental health continuum in a variety of clinical settings. She specializes in the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy to treat anxiety, address interpersonal relationship issues, and assist clients with successfully developing and implementing mental skills intervention plans. Her teaching and research is focused on leadership and advocacy, counseling skills and techniques, cultural competency, mental skills in performance and non-performance situations, and the scholarship of teaching.
