Overcoming Adversity
Robin Morrison is a Senior Researcher in the Department of Evolutionary Anthropology at the University of Zurich and an Affiliate Scientist at the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda. She uses long-term data from wild gorillas to examine the evolution of complex social behaviors and life history patterns.

What Iraq Can Teach Us About the War in Ukraine
Among his honors and awards are the Louise Dyer Peace Fellowship from the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, Eccles Professor of the British Library, Official Visitor at Nuffield College of Oxford University, the Governor-General’s International Award in Canadian Studies, and the Albert S. Raubenheimer Award for outstanding teaching, scholarship and service at USC. He served as President of the International Council for Canadian Studies, 2011-13, President of the Peace Science Society, 2016-17, and President of the ISA, 2018-19. James is the Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Bibliographies in International Relations also served a five-year term as Editor of International Studies Quarterly.

The Paris Commune: The Long Shadow of France’s “Other” Revolution
Carolyn J. Eichner is Professor of History and Women’s & Gender Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, specializing in modern France and empire, gender, race, political radicalism, and the politics of names. A 2022-2023 Fulbright Research Scholar (Paris), and a Spring 2023 Camargo Foundation Fellow, she has also held fellowships at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, and the Institute for Research in the Humanities, University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her publications include Feminism’s Empire (Cornell University Press, 2022), The Paris Commune: A Brief History (Rutgers University Press, 2022), and Surmounting the Barricades: Women in the Paris Commune (Indiana University Press, 2004), translated as Franchir les barricades: Les femmes dans la Commune de Paris (Éditions de la Sorbonne, 2020) (Prix Augustin Thierry 2021 finalist).

Reimagining Aging in Place
Rachel Savage, PhD is a Scientist at Women’s Age Lab and Women’s College Research Institute, Women’s College Hospital, an Adjunct Scientist at ICES, and an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. At Women’s Age Lab, Dr. Savage leads research focused on promoting social connectedness in older adults and supporting aging in place. She is the principal investigator of a national study, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, that evaluates how loneliness in older adults impacts the health system.

Dr. Uzmanoglu holds the distinguished position of Zurack Professor of Finance and Economics at Binghamton University. His research addresses questions related to credit markets, financial institutions, fixed-income securities, and corporate finance. He has investigated a variety of topics including the real effects of financial innovations, the influence of institutional investors on corporate debt policies, the impact of COVID-19 lockdowns on the municipal bond market, and the relationship between cities’ climate risk exposures and their credit ratings and cost of borrowing.
