Monday
Cailyn Green – Empire State University
Defining Polysubstance Use in Adolescents
Cailyn Green, MS, Ph.D., CASAC is the Assistant Professor of Addiction Studies at the State University of New York, Empire State College. She has been a part of the SUNY academic team since 2014.

She earned her BA degree in psychology from Wester New England University, her MS degree in forensic mental health from Sage Graduate School and her Ph.D. in criminal justice with a specialization in addiction science from Walden University. Dr. Green is also a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor in New York State. Dr. Greens area of expertise is supporting clinicians who work in the addiction field to best serve their clients. She spent her hands on clinical time working directly with the recently incarcerated population.

Stephen McNeill – Kennesaw State University
Mobile Skin Care
Before embarking on a career in academics, McNeill worked as an on-air personality for multiple radio stations in the U.S. and the U.K. and appeared on television shows such as On-Air with Ryan Seacrest. His time in radio has seen everything from giving away cars, covering award shows in Los Angeles, live interviews with some of music’s biggest names, and hosting a syndicated countdown show. McNeill also worked as a producer for a BBC radio affiliate located in Canterbury, Kent. His on-air and production work earned him an Illinois Broadcasters Association Silver Dome Award.

Luisa Ruge-Jones – University of Dayton
It Matters How You Talk About Your Differences
Luisa Ruge-Jones’ primary research interests focus on team science, group communication and organizational communication. Her research examines how organizational policies and infrastructure affect how teams collaborate and work together. She is also interested in higher education policy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research methods and mentoring.

Nicole Hassoun – Binghamton University
Sharing Vaccine Intellectual Property
Hassoun is the director of the Global Health Impact (GHI), which works to create positive change by evaluating pharmaceutical products’ global health consequences and advocating for greater access to essential medicines.

Friday
Gena Greher – University of Massachusetts Lowell
Music, Emotion and Storytelling in Developing Listening Skills
Dr. Gena R. Greher is Professor of Music & Music Education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She’s a 2014_15 Donahue Endowed Professor of the Arts. and is the Education Director of the UMass Lowell String Project/Youth Orchestra. She developed a math/music module with Jeanne Bamberger for the Herbie Hancock Institute’s STEAM Initiative https://mathsciencemusic.org as well as curriculum for several other modules and apps on the site. Gena is co-author with Suzanne Burton for Creative Music Making at Your Fingertips: A Mobile Technology Guide for Music Educators, as well as co-author with Jesse Heines for Computational Thinking in Sound: Teaching the Art and Science of Music and Technology, both from Oxford University Press.
