Jared Del Rosso – University of Denver
Waiting for Whip-poor-wills
Jared Del Rosso is a cultural sociologist in the Department of Sociology & Criminology at the University of Denver. He is currently writing a book, tentatively titled The Lonesome Whip-poor-will: Untold Stories of America’s Most Iconic Bird, for NYU Press’s “Animals in Context” series. He has written on Whip-poor-wills and their relatives for AudubonThe Conversation, and the Center for Humans and Nature.

Grace Moore – University of Otago
Literature and Hope in a Time of Fire
Grace Moore is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Otago. Her research spans Victorian studies, Australian studies, and the Environmental Humanities.  Grace is the author of a number of books and, in 2022, she edited Fire Stories. She is also the Editor of the online Literary Encyclopedia.

Brandon Vaidyanathan – The Catholic University of America
Science is a Quest for Beauty
Dr. Brandon Vaidyanathan is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institutional Flourishing Lab at The Catholic University of America. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and HEC Montreal respectively, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame. His research examines the cultural dimensions of religious, commercial, and scientific institutions, and has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals. He is also Founder of Beauty at Work, a media platform which includes a podcast and YouTube channel.

Patrick Barry – University of Michigan Law School
Art and Advocacy
Patrick Barry is a clinical assistant professor and the director of digital academic initiatives at the University of Michigan Law School, as well as a visiting lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School and the UCLA School of Law.  An All-American soccer player in college, Patrick is the author of twelve books, and he has also created four online series for the educational platform Coursera, including
“Good with Words: Writing and Editing” and “AI for Lawyers and Other Advocates.” Among his teaching awards are the Wayne Booth Prize for Excellence in Teaching, the Provost’s Innovation in Teaching Prize, and the Outstanding Research Mentor Award. His research focuses on persuasion, creativity, team, dynamics, and artificial intelligence, and he frequently collaborates with law firms, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.

Jennifer D. Nahrgang is Professor and Henry B. Tippie Excellence Chair of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on leadership and teams, employee voice and engagement, and the future world of work. Her research has also been featured in The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Harvard Business Review.
