Ethan Yackulic – Northern Arizona University
Restoring Functional Fire in the West
Ethan Yackulic is a PhD student in the School of Informatics, Computing and Cyber Systems at Northern Arizona University. His work leverages remote sensing products to measure changes in forest carbon inventories across the western United States. He is deeply passionate about playing in the many pixels of forested lands that he stares at each day on his computer screen.

Rebecca Brociek – University of Nottingham
The Planetary Effects of Producing Pet Food
With a background in biomedical science and pharmaceutical, Rebecca is now completing her PhD focused in companion animal nutrition at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her main focus has been research into why and how fat accumulates in domestic cats, causing kidney disease. She also has a passionate interest in climate change and health, and has published papers assessing both the nutritional and environmental impacts of feeding a range of dog foods. All work is published open access and freely available for the public, as the group does not believe in restricting good research for academic institutions only.

Danny Wang – University of Southern California
New Brain Imaging Method Reveals Hidden Vascular Changes with Aging
Dr. Danny JJ Wang is a Professor of Neurology, Radiology and Biomedical Engineering, and Director of Imaging Technology Innovation at the Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute, University of Southern California, as well as head of the Laboratory of Functional MRI technology (LOFT). Over the past 25+ years, his research has focused on the technical development and clinical translation of novel medical imaging technologies, with clinical applications related to cerebrovascular disorders, dementia, and neurodevelopment, as well as development at ultrahigh field strengths. He is a Fellow of ISMRM and AIMBE. He initiated the 7T Translational Alliance of North America (7TANA.org) to facilitate the clinical translation of ultrahigh field MRI. He recently authored a book, “Imaging Blood-Brain Barrier Dysfunction in Brain Disorders”.

Dinesh Subedi – Monash University
Institutional Phage Cocktails to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance
Dr. Dinesh Subedi is a microbiologist and Postdoctoral Researcher at Monash University in Australia. He studies how viruses that infect bacteria, called bacteriophages or “phages,” can be used to treat serious hospital-acquired infections.

Siddharth Bhattacharya – George Mason University
How Can Advertisers Win Attention?
Siddharth Bhattacharya is an assistant professor in the Information Systems and Operations Management Area at the Costello College of Business, George Mason University. Before joining George Mason University, Dr. Bhattacharya completed his Ph.D. from Temple University’s Fox School of Business in 2021. Siddharth’s research focuses on how firms utilize digital information strategies to increase reach, establish relationships with stakeholders, and influence consumer decision making. Dr. Bhattacharya also holds an MBA from Indian School of Business and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering from India. Dr. Bhattacharya’s work has been published in premiere journals such as Information Systems research, MIS Quarterly, among others. He has also presented his work in many reputed conferences including CIST, ICIS, WISE, WITS, CODE@MIT, Marketing Science, among others.
