Manasvi Lingam, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of astrobiology at Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) in Melbourne, Florida.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay), Dr. Lingam moved to the University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained his Ph.D. in Physics. He then undertook postdoctoral stints at Princeton University, Harvard University and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Dr. Lingam is currently an assistant professor of astrobiology in the Department of Aerospace, Physics and Space Sciences at Florida Tech.

Purple Heart May Protect Against Suicide
Jayna Moceri-Brooks, PhD, RN, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Her program of research centers on firearm injury prevention, traumatic brain injury (TBI) in military populations, and suicide prevention among service members and Veterans, with a particular focus on the role of military culture. Her research identified the first tangible suicide prevention intervention for a high-risk group of service members and Veterans and directly influenced federal policies aimed at improving the well-being of those who serve.

Kathy Wander is a biological anthropologist in Binghamton University’s department of Anthropology. She received her BA from the Ohio State University and her MPH and PhD from the University of Washington. Her work focuses on the nexus of immunity, infection, and nutritional stress.

She earned her BA degree in psychology from Wester New England University, her MS degree in forensic mental health from Sage Graduate School and her Ph.D. in criminal justice with a specialization in addiction science from Walden University. Dr. Green is also a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor in New York State. Dr. Greens area of expertise is supporting clinicians who work in the addiction field to best serve their clients. She spent her hands on clinical time working directly with the recently incarcerated population.

Dr. Toufiq Reza is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) in Melbourne, Florida. His primary research interests are thermochemical and biochemical conversion of biomass including HTC, hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL), supercritical water gasification (ScWG), torrefaction, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion, wet air oxidation, and pelletization. He has published more than one hundred peer-reviewed journal articles, five patents, two book chapters, and delivered more than one hundred oral and poster presentations.
